In 2013, a formal partnership was developed with Boise Urban Garden School – BUGS.  Through this partnership, the Junior League of Boise and our partner school were able to roll out a successful school garden program that not only supported science and math curricula, but created hands-on learning opportunities and encouraged healthy lifestyles for elementary-aged children.  During the tenure of this program, the Junior League of Boise partnered with 8 Treasure Valley elementary schools to bring a total of 40 new garden beds, including soil, mulch, and gardening tools, to our students.
